The 2010 SAFE Golf Tournament will be held on Sunday, November 7, 2010, at the Riverwalk Golf Club, 1150 Fashion Valley Road, San Diego, CA 92108.

COURSE STATS:   Steeped in a rich tradition of golf legends past, Riverwalk Golf Club offers a classic golfing experience like no other. Formerly known as the Stardust Country Club, the course entertained a myriad of golf's legends while hosting the PGA tour during the 50s and 60s. Now, golfers will once again be treated to the challenge and drama of the original course at the newly reborn Riverwalk.

What was once flat now features undulating fairways, waterfalls and well-protected bentgrass greens. Water comes into play on 13 of the 27 holes with a spectacular waterfall surrounding the green of the signature hole. The San Diego River is a prominent feature of the layout, contributing to the beauty and challenge of the course.

START-TIME  & DRESS CODE:  We will begin play at 8:00 AM with a shotgun start.  The tournament format will be a 4-person team scramble. Riverwalk is a soft spike golf shoe facility that requires collared shirts for men, Bermuda length shorts and does not allow denim.   Proper golf attire is required.

PAIRING REQUESTS:  We will try to accommodate all pairing requests.  Please specify handicaps and insure that the people you are requesting to play with also have you on their request list.  Once the pairings are assigned, we will not re-arrange them. We would like to have a few more of our SAFE ladies play again this year, and golfers of all levels are welcome to come out and have fun.

GIVE-AWAYS, PRIZES, ETC:  The golf committee is asking corporate members to consider providing give-a-ways in the form of golf balls, towels, tees, cash, etc. to be used as tournament prizes. Contributions will be most appreciated and
appropriate credit will be given in the SAFE Symposium Program as well as posted in the exhibit area.  Should you wish to make a cash contribution, please make your check payable to SAFE with Golf Tournament Contribution on the memo line, and mail to SAFE, Attention: Golf Tournament Chair. RENTAL CLUBS:

Rental clubs will be available to those who need them, but only if they are reserved in advance through either Jeani Benton, Bryan Bailey, or Debbie Kalisz. The rental fee is not included in the price below so if you reserve rental clubs you will need to show up early to pay for your rental clubs.  Cost to rent clubs this year will be $50.  Those who ask for rental clubs on the day of the tournament may find they are not available - please do not wait!!  Also, make sure you specify right or left.

ENTRY FEE: $95.00 INCLUDES:

Greens fee, cart, range balls, prizes, and a lunch buffet after the tournament in the club house.  (And of course the great gift bags assembled with donations from our corporate sponsors!)

SIGN-UP DEADLINE:

The sign-up deadline is Friday, October 1st so please sign-up early.  We cannot guarantee availability after this date due to the requirement to finalize number of players 14 days prior to the event.  The course reserves the right to book the remainder of the course for other players after this date.
