The SAFE Association produces three publications. The "Symposium Proceedings", the SAFE Journal and SAFE News. The Journal consists of technical articles and items of general interest. The publications provide a unique source of information in the field of personal safety. In addition the publications provide researchers and developers three decades of data in the personal safety field. The SAFE News informs members of association events.

SAFE Association Payments

Journal Discontinued

This serves as notification that effective December 31, 2007 the SAFE Journal will discontinue publication and distribution to subscription agencies on a regular basis.

During our August 28, 2007 SAFE Board of Directors Meeting, the decision was made that SAFE will reserve the right to publish a Journal as technical material becomes available but it will only be distributed to our SAFE members. The reasons for this are clear: we do not feel it fair to accept subscription monies from agencies who expect a regular Journal to be published, when distribution is entirely dependent on the availability of material. Also, since the availability of sufficient high quality technical material for the Journal is never guaranteed, it is not clear either when or how many Journals can be done in any year. Hence, please note that Volume 35, Number 1, Spring 2007 is the final issue of the Journal and it has already been distributed.

SAFE will continue to publish the annual SAFE Proceedings which will include technical papers presented at our annual symposium. Articles will also still be available from all Journals published. The Proceedings will be available for $27.50 per copy including postage in the U.S. and $30.00 including postage outside the U.S.
